Hello again, ladies and germs!

I haven’t been around ye olde blog for a few months now -- not since February; where does the damn time go? -- but that’s mostly because I haven’t had all that much to report on ... Work is going well; lots and lots of writing, and I even got to do a voiceover for an Emmy® submission for one of the bigger segments of our “pixie-dusted” company. But a few shows that I auditioned for this spring didn’t pan out ... in a lot of ways, it’s been nice to have some free time -- but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t missing the stage!

To that end, if you happen to run across this website and you’re looking for a Los Angeles character actress par excellence (if I do say so myself, and [as someone who's working on their self esteem issues] I do) who can sing and act and kinda dance, reach out and touch somebody’s hand. Just make sure that someone is me.

Also, I’ve been looking to get back into voiceover, professionally; doing that little gig at work reignited my passion. So check out some of my demos here, or drop a line to discuss.

Hope all is well, and Happy Summer!

Hello dear reader(s)! Welcome to February 2014! The groundhog saw his shadow (although the driest winter EVAR [and its requisite insane drought] in SoCal continues) ... and the Seahawks won the Super Bowl by a ridiculous margin. But more importantly than weird weather patterns and football, I have some nice bits of news to report from the World o' Potter:

1) While I haven't signed paperwork yet, I'm being sent V.O. auditions by Lily's Talent Agency, based in Chicago. This is GREAT news, as it means I'm getting to be heard for projects that are most definitely a cut above the usual stuff I audition for on the various non-union voiceover websites. (Not that those aren't good, obvs -- but you know what I mean.) It's a small step, but one in the right direction.

2) I've been cast in my first show of the year! Yours truly will be playing Mrs. Meers in Conejo Players Theatre's "Thoroughly Modern Millie," the first musical of their 2014 Season and a show I've been dying to do for years. (I'm a little long in the tooth to play Millie, though you best believe I could sing the shiznit out of it if given the chance. You should hear me in my shower! No, really. Maybe I'll record it someday.) Anyway, this role is a hoot -- and a challenge to boot, as half my lines must be spoken in a bizarre wannabe "Chinese" accent. Harriet Harris won a Tony© Award for her portrayal of Meersie in the original Broadway cast; it's a part where chewing the scenery is highly encouraged ... so as someone who enjoys the heck out of any and all "schtick," I can't wait. The show opens for a 5-week run in March.

That's about it for now ... in the coming months, I'll be gearing up for my big directorial debut at Conejo Players with "Marvelous Wonderettes" -- plus, who know what else is on the horizon? So stay tuned for more fun and frolic!
